In accordance with this commitment, we focus on three pillars for building shared value: education, health, and empowerment. We have been participating actively and directly in our CSR programs through Pushpatara Kedia Service Foundation and our subsidiaries.
Ram Kumar Kedia (Kedia Family) contributed to the establishment of Pashupati Gaushala Dharamsala and Birgunj Gaushala. It has been providing cash donations to various meditation centers including Rs. 16 lakhs for the construction of Dharke Gaushala under construction in Dhading District. The Birgunj State Chamber of Commerce was established in the name of the Chamber of Commerce by the Kedia family. Late Ram Kumar Kedia has donated Rs. 51,000 during the establishment of Marwari Service Committee in 2008. The Nepal Chamber of Commerce was established by the Kedia family. Ram Kumar is the only member of the forum. He had also provided cash for the establishment of Narayani Zone Hospital, Birgunj also contributed Rs 160,000 for the construction of Balaju VayesDhara Park and also credited with bringing Dayananda Anglo-Vedic School (DAV) to Nepal.
The Kedia family had earlier provided 205 bighas of land for the construction of Mahendra Park, construction of Narayani Zone Hospital in the name of King Mahendra and 2.5 bighas of land for the Meditation Center at Birgunj. Kedia family has arranged a full peace award in the name of former IGP Purna Singh Khawash Thakur through the police office.
Mahavir Prasad Brijlal Kedia Service Trust has established and operated Kedia Eye Hospital in Parwanipur, Bara for 40 years. This hospital is famous for eye treatment in both Nepal and India. No one can forget the contribution of the Kedia group even in the days when it was conceived and established by the World Hindu Federation. There is a history that Brijlal Kedia gave the land in the memory of his religious wife Late Banarasi Devi Kedia.
The Shankarlal Kedia Foundation has been awarding the best law awards every year for the past 13 years. The foundation has operated Shankarlal Kedia Dental Care Hospital (Parwanipur) on the premises of Birgunj-based Eye Hospital, while Patan Hospital was given the scanning machine. Guru Nanak Temple Guru has given Rs. 4 lakhs to Kupondol for the construction of a room in Yatri Niwas. The Pushpa Tara Kedia Foundation, in association with the world-renowned adventure climber Adrian Hayes’ Mission Himalaya, provided Rs. 500,000 per year for free medicine, first aid and access to education in the Himalayan district for three years.
Pushparata Kedia Service Foundation was established in 2015 on the occasion of our Chairman, Mr. Tara Chand Kedia and his wife, Mrs. Pushpa Devi Kedia’s 50th Wedding Anniversary. The Foundation has been established by their sons Mr. Manoj Kumar Kedia and Mr. Mohit Kedia along with their families. The foundation strives to create self-sustainable social infrastructures to enhance the community and provide for essential needs such as education, healthcare and basic necessities. Over the years the foundation has contributed to several social initiatives such as rebuilding schools destroyed in 2015 Nepal earthquake, partnered with MIRA Himalaya to provide medicine in remote areas, contributed in several covid relief funds, and recently donated a bud to R.M. Kedia Eye Hospital.
